When You Know Better
“Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge, which is power; religion gives man wisdom, which is control. Science deals mainly with facts; religion deals mainly with values. The two are not rivals.” - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “ A Tough Mind and a Tender Heart” sermon, August 30, 1959
Let’s Talk About It
I recall with business training one of the main rules of European Society here in the United States is not to ever discuss religion, science, or politics. My thoughts each time an educator would stress this was ‘Why not?’ As I have become more conscious and aware of ‘My Black is Beautiful’ culture and history, I recognize another wolf in sheep's clothing within the teachings of residing in America.
My Black is Beautiful history is not presented in the public eye with truthful, positive, or actual facts. European History and Culture is given to ‘My Black is Beautiful’ community in a Public School System that is mandated for us to attend. If our children are not registered in this system or do not comply with stipulations of being educated within this system; we adhere to the consequences of truancy and judicial hearings.
This is Not Reality TV…….This is Not Reality Radio…….This Is Reality
It is important for us to educate our children and community about who we are as a culture, where we originated from, learning other languages, producing facts about Africans living in America, the importance of politics, how religion is used to control what is deemed as acceptable values, how important science will give a factual answer that can not be disputed, and to encourage to stay within our own race and culture. It is ‘My Black is Beautiful’ community responsibility to bring awareness and truth in order for us to grow.
